General Election 2025 Information

According to current Bylaws of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib Fairfield, the General Election to elect next management committee is on Sunday, June 15th, 2025. Its everyone’s responsibility to read Articles V, V(a), V(b) and V(c) and become familiar with election process, including requirements and qualifications for voting and management committee memberships.

New voters can register during month of April by submitting an application form. You can pick the application form from GNSGS office. Registration fee is $10 per voter. Every new voter must submit his or her own application and present as proof minimum donation of $50 in calendar year of 2024. Registration times are 10am to 2pm on Sundays and 5pm to 7pm on Wednesdays. Last Saturday and Sunday of April, registration times will be from 10am to 5pm. Per Bylaws, voters also required to update their address during new voter registration period if they have moved. Application to change the address will be available from the GNSGS office.

For management committee candidates, application will be accepted first two Sundays of May from 10am to 2pm. Each candidate must pay $1100 as application fee and show proof of a minimum donation of $1100 to GNSGS within the calendar year of 2024. If number of candidates of the management is 11 or less and there is no other issue on the ballot for voters to approve, the election will be called off and declared candidates will be seated as the next management committee.

ਸੰਗਤ ਜੀ, ਉਪ-ਨਿਯਮਾਂ (Bylaws) ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਨਵੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਗਲੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ 15 ਜੂਨ, 2025 ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਨ। ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਉਪ-ਨਿਯਮਾਂ (Bylaws) ਦੇ ਆਰਟੀਕਲਾਂ V, V(a), V(b), ਅਤੇ V(c) ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਨਵੇਂ ਵੋਟਰ ਦੀ ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਨਵੇਂ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਰਮ ਭਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੀਸ $10 ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਨਵੇਂ ਵੋਟਰ ਨੂੰ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ $50 ਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਰਸੀਦ ਵੀ ਸਬੂਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇਣੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ। ਵੋਟਰ ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 10 ਤੋਂ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਦੇ 2 ਵਜੇ ਤਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦੇ 5 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ 7 ਵਜੇ ਤਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਦੇ ਅਖੀਰਲੇ ਸ਼ਨਿਚਰਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ 10 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦੇ 5 ਵਜੇ ਤਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ| ਉਪ-ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜੇਕਰ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਐਡਰੈਸ ਬਦਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਵੋਟਰ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਐਡਰੈਸ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਐਡਰੈਸ ਬਦਲਣ ਦਾ ਫਾਰਮ ਵੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਈ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੋ ਐਤਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਹਰੇਕ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ $1100 ਦੀ ਫ਼ੀਸ ਦੇਣੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ $1100 ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਦਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਵੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਅਗਰ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 11 ਜਾਂ ਘੱਟ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਲਈ ਬੈਲਟ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਚੋਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਹੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
